My "User Name" isn't listed on other computers

Hello, Everything was working fine for months, until we had a power outage and I had to reset the FiOS Router. I solved my limited network access, however on my Gateway computer I can see: Network>Gateway>Users>Ivan but the two other computers just see Network>Gateway>Users>Public. Not my user name, Ivan. What is causing this? The problem must be in the settings on this Gateway running Windows 7 Home Premium. I checked every setting that I could think of. I appreciate your help.

    Thank you,
    Ivan

Are both computers named Gateway (if so name one Gateway-2 ect.)? Are they both in the same workgroup?

Hi. Actually, I have three computers in my workgroup, named Gateway, running Win7, Toshiba running Win10 and upstation (a tower I built years ago running Win XP Pro 32-bit). I have Administrative accounts on all three with no passwords set. Thing is, it used to show up for months! All computers see each other, but when I click on Network>Gateway>Users, on the other two computers, my name doesn't come up, just Default. Believe me, I tried everything in the Gateway, share and advanced sharing settings, rebooting, cold booting, etc. On the Gateway itself I see the three computers in Network and can click on Gateway>Users>Ivan, and access the account. It's truly bewildering. I haven't installed new software, nor have I changed any of the working sharing settings. Nothing has changed. I appreciate your reply and any help that you can give me. :)

I finally zeroed in on the problem. For some reason, the "Security" tab wasn't set to include "Everyone", just the "Sharing" tab was set for "Everyone". I added "Everyone" in security settings, allowing all permissions and all is well now.:) I don't know how it got changed in the first place, but after rebooting, everything is working fine and my user name is visible and accessible to the other computers.

I referred to this article, which I hope may help others:
