Local Area Network Connection is missing the from Network Connection

    Greetings to everyone,

based from the title itself, i having the problem which my desktop local area network connection is being missing from the Network Connection in the Network and Internet section.

This problem occurred when a lightning strike was present on a specific day , which eventually my router were fried to the death, while my PC were gone to an abnormal condition that requires a reboot .

As my PC were saved which i could say a miracle (all programs and applications were still functioning). However, the problem that stressed my whole life is the Local Area Network Connection is missing and resulting the LAN cable were not being detected even though it was plugged in.

One of the solution that i came up with is that using an USB LAN adapter but it does not help which i could say the driver/device were incompatible and had problems as well. In addition, i search the internet some says to do something with the Network Location Awareness located in the services.Yet , it does not solve the current problem. Which is currently right now, i am using laptop to access the internet.

So now, i try to ask if anyone from this forum have a solution to share is appreciated.
    Thank you for your attention.

    Hi AA001,

with your USB lan plugged in
What do get if you RIGHT click on the signal bars
Shows all availble networks - is your NEW router showing?

If i plugged in my USB LAN adapter , it does not show anything. the LAN at the task bar still cross red.
(as a reminder , this problem were located on the PC , not on a laptop) No available networks detected since
it can only connected through LAN ( no wireless) .

While on the Network Connection , the LAN icon were missing.
