Hello Mark mate what browser are you using?? Plus it might be worth running these mate
https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html
https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html < if necessary include the /f switch and if this does not make any improvement then just run this switch instead /r in the command line as per Option2
Run these in safe mode and the sfc often best run for two to three runs Ė you can leave out the /r switch in ckdsk if you feel it not necessary

NB SFC often said best to be run three times consecutively

if no fix then these

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/
ADW download from bleeping computer delete any rubbish found with the malware scans
(NB If you are running Kaspersky as the main AV then it might need disabling it when trying ADW because it does not like it at times)

Ok mate now I would like it if you did run those scans if only to shut me up and I see the CPU is a Sandy Bridge though I don't understand why you list the laptop CPU as being in a desktop??
So could you please also follow this
Now before we can help we do need to know what is in your machine so please do this System Info - See Your System Specs
or either enter the specs of your system in your forum profile the specs will appear when we click on that little box bottom left of the post screen it is for me the preferable option as it is easy. As you may appreciate it is very hard when you donít know what one is working with for example a diesel or petrol engine. Please include what antivirus program you are using.
(pretyped to save time)

Now if the CPU is a Sandy Bridge that tells me the machine is reasonably old - in today's terms because I have one myself and if that is so can you tell us if the hard drive is the original one too because even though you have done a clean install doesn't mean the drive is functioning properly so it might require testing itself.

I did list my cpu as being a mobile one. Dont know why it showed up as a desktop. Yes its a sandy bridge i5 2430m 2.4ghz. Anyways it is 5 years old but i got new 250gb hdd yesterday and its working like new. And obviously a fresh install of windows. But the internet problem is still here. I am starting to think its a bad wifi card.
