Need help installing wf-fi on new laptop

Hello everyone I just got a referb dell e6410 for xmas and for some reason, even though it was purchased with wifi there is none listed on the device manager. Can i install wf-fi on this myself, or must it be returned to the vendor for them to do it?

    Hi metalman228,

suspect its showing as unknown in device manager,

follow this link for drivers for that model
Support for Latitude E6410 | Drivers & downloads | Dell UK

    download it to a usb
then from Unknown update it for correct wifi card

Good idea on paper, but during install it says" installation blocked, this package cannot be installed on your system"

There is no wifi card listed under device mngr

Unless it is because it is a UK driver

A simple solution is to buy a USB WiFi adapter they are like £10 in UK.cheaper and quicker than returning it

There shouldn't be any problem with wifi installation if your laptop has wifi card. If not then check the guarantee with Dell to exchange new one, or new model.

Well, got a USB WI-FI dongle. Works perfect and was reimbursed for purchase. Only downside is one less USB port available for use.
