    Start Up On Wan

Hello, I want to be able to start my PC/HTPC from a shutdown state using my google home and I cant figure it out for the life of me, Well I did figure out one way BUT there is a flaw if my PC decides its time to update when I shutdown then it will do a force shut down. First let me explain the way I am starting up my PC/HTPC now using Google Now by voice and a Harmony Hub to turn on the TV ect. and a Smart plug to turn on PC.

First I had to go into BIOS and set the ARM/Restore AC Power Loss = "Power On" so that when I gave the command for Google Now My PC was plugged into the smart plug and it turned on the smart plug which powered up the PC. To power it down I used a process involving dropbox, task scheduler and a app called stringify to tell the smart plug to turn off after a few minutes so it gave the PC enough time to shut down properly. The only problem there is if there was ever an update and it decided it was going to hang and d all that after the few minutes the smart plug was shutting off no matter what and then it would be like I had a power loss.

Anyway, my Issue is the powering up of the PC. How can I power up the PC without the smart plug? Im using a harmany hub and it picks u any IR device but my PC doesnt have what a TV or comcast box would have. Can I add that to it? I have a H97I-PLUS motherboard. The Bios also by the manual has a WAN enable "Power On By PCIE". anyway not sure how to proceed....

Oh and I wanted to add Im not tryng to access my PC from outside the network I just want to poer it up using the harmany Hub I did buy a Flirc because I read HERE and cant figure it out.

    Hi Oxicotton.

Just something for you to ponder

Updates now ONLY occur on the second Tuesday of each month-
So why not just reset the windows Update option to either
    Download but let me choose
Never and do them whilst your on line.

Okay I got it to work I didn't get it to work with the WAN but I did get it to work with putting my PC into sleep and waking it up using a device called a Flirc and set one of my buttons of my Harmony remote to a button on the flirc which wakes up the PC and puts it to sleep when I ask Google home to do it.
