Network File and Folder sharing greyed out

Hello, i have 10 computers which are all connected to the same homegroup in my office. Im trying to share an HP folder in "program files" on the network from one computer but when i go to properties, sharing, the "Share" icon is greyed out and i cannot share this folder on the network....can anyone help me out?

Welcome to the forum. The problem is its a system folder so it not good to share hence its greyed out but if you hit advanced sharing you do get the option to share. The problem being if you do share being system the NTFS permission are low so users may have little rights

Ok thanks for ur help, my printer is installed on that computer and I would like to share the scan option, any ideas?

If the scan is shareable the makers normally have a utility on their site I know Epson does if you try and run scanner from another PC it will run on the PC but have no connection
