    Can't see Wireless Network Connection

    Hi there,

I’m trying to set up a wireless internet connection on a newly built PC with Windows 7 installed. I get a connection when I connect to the LAN but I don’t see the wireless connection from the modem when I search for available connections. I have also verified the modem to be working.

Do I need to download a separate driver for wireless connections? Or is there something else I’m missing?

Thanks for any help in advance.

First off, are you sure your newly built PC has wifi? Many desktops typically don't.

Providing your PC does have wifi, then yes, you need to install the driver. If the motherboard has wifi built-in then look on the mobo mfrs website for the driver. If a separate wifi card, look on the card mfrs website for the driver.

Does a wireless show in device manager with a yellow triangle?
