Without any info abt your setup Im thinking its a permissions problem between win 7 and the other devices. Where is the media stored? who owns it on that machine? what users are comman to both machines?, etc

System is an IBM T61 with Intel chipsets--very standard. Windows 7 build 7100 on AT&T 2WIRE wireless network router, no configuration changes on the router.

Computer A: HP Pavillion DV9000 running Windows 7 build 7100; connected to 2Wire wireless network; owns the HomeGroup. I have changed the password on the HomeGroup manually.

Computer B: IBM T61; Windows 7 build 7100; connected to 2Wire wireless network; attempting to join the HomeGroup.

Computer C: Old HP Laptop; Ubuntu Jaunty Server 9.04; connected to 2Wire wireless network; Samba sharing out my video files.

What else do you need?

The other device on the network is a PS3. With WinXP I had media sharing enabled and was streaming video content to the machine as a movie jukebox. I did load "PS3 Media Player" on Computer A, and it shared out the LOCAL files correctly.

Any suggestion?
Under Network and Sharing center, switch to "Work network" and then switch back to "Home network" and then when you go to set up your HomeGroup it will give you a password.

I'm having the same issues with this incorrect password, though a little to note... my computer "PC1" can create the group fine, my gf's pc "PC2" can see the homegroup but when joining it with the correct password, it states it is incorrect. When we both leave the homegroups (and restart) I cannot see the homegroup she creates, even after restarting.

Another note, the time is adjusted and synchronized as well. To make things even more interesting, she just reformatted and installed a fresh copy of Win 7 on her machine.. I'm a little stuck here.

fiOs router ultraline series 3 9100EM router

PC1 - Win 7 x64bit AMD Phenom II x4 / 4gig ram etc
PC2 - Win 7 x64bit AMD x2 / 2 gig ram etc

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm almost to the point of throwing a new Network card into her computer to see if that resolves the issues.
