    Sharing Win7/Mac on home network?

I had to reinstall Windows 7, and can't enable sharing with Mac computers on Windows 7. I've enabled Network Discovery, File and printer sharing, and I've set the folders I want to share. There are Macs on the network, but I can't see them from Windows 7. I opened the Network Map, and they don't show up there. I'm wondering if I made a mistake when I specified that it was a home network, becasue at one point I got the window telling me a Homegroup password, and i've read the Homegroup cannot access Macs. I entered a name for a Workgroup, but it isn't a Business Network, and specifying home network seems to default to Homegroup. The Macs on the network are visible to my iPad and other Macs, so I know they're online, but not visible from my Windows 7 (Pro 64bit) computer. Could anyone please offer advice about the proper way to set this up? Thank you for your help!
