Can i see what the system restore has done in the logs in windows 7

hI,I have some net connectivity problem. On surfing the net, i came across suggestion to uninstall unwanted adapters other than your adapter to fix this issue. I have tried uninstall in device manager in network adapters. It could not be , all the adapters are pseudo wan miniport adapters . Then as per the suggestion went to the registry found those and deleted it. I only deleted those adapters by seeing devicedes or some key. Then i reboot the windows in safe mode to delete the same. I have succeeded. But to my surprise, when i delete one adapter out of 8, all adapters except the wired , have been uninstalled. I reboot the system , but could not find the wired adapter. Whatsoever i tried, i could not install driver for my ethernet adapter realtek. Then i resorted to system restore, which restored the system as well as net connection. Before that, all the light except ethernet could establish green light. There was no light on ethernet port , and keep getting hardware or controller failure.
Now i restored to a previous date.My query is , can i see the logs and view , what went wrong with the ethernet adapters connection, when attempting those scary things i described.
a line in reply , where i could find those logs and how to intrepret the logs for my problem would be helpful.
I also wish to point out , that sometimes solutions are also creating problems like mine
    Pl reply

    Hi jraju,

When you delete/uninstall the network adapter/drivers and then reboot Windows automatically re-installs them from the system files.

You could also take a look at these:

Realtek* Ethernet Network Driver for Windows 7* for Desktop Boards

    Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

A Google search for your Motherboard and the appropriate up to date drivers would also be a good idea.

    I hope this helps!

    Hello jraju,

There is a log entry for system restore, if that is what you wish to find out about.

The Log Name is Application, Source is system restore, Event ID is 8202, and the Level is information.

    Hope that helps!
