Cannot connect to wifi: 'Windows was unable to connect to [SSID]'
Hi there
1. Wireless issue.
2. ISP: BT.
3. DSL connection.
4. Router: BT Smart Hub.
5. Anti-Virus S/W: AVG.
I have been unable to connect to any wifi for some weeks. My machine is a Dell Inspiron 15 1570 laptop.
The router and wifi works fine for other devices.
I have used the MS Windows 7 support forum (and others) which recommends the Windows network troubleshooter and then a series of steps after this. None have worked (although have not updated any network adapter driver).
Nwk Adapter is:
Realtek RTL8168
Device Manager reports the network adapter is working ok, although I have not been able to prove this another way. (Device Manager screenshot attached).
I have tried to connect to the Router with security switched off -no joy.
ip config file is attached.
Have run out of ideas on how to isolate the root cause of this failure to connect... ideas and advice please.
Thanks
Niall
