Cannot detect any wireless network interfaces error

I recently received a Dell Latitude E6410 and the driver for wireless connections was missing, I installed "Intel(R) 82577LM Gigabit Netowrk Connection". I then enabled something from services.msc I've tried everything I could find online, I'm very close to being able to add a wifi connection I need to add a Wireless profile but when I try I get the error message "Windows cannot detect any wireless network interfaces. I do not have an Ethernet cable, I'm using an sd card to transfer the files.

If you go on Dells site put in the tag number from the PC it will give you all the drivers specifically for your PC

Yes, it was a Dell Latitude E6410 and I used that exact model on the dell website for the drivers.

Check the laptop Bios and see if the wireless networking is switched on, also check your Dell documentation for location of the WiFi on/off switch or the Keyboard key press sequence

You say you used correct model you don't use model as they can vary you must use tag number normally on bottom of PC it's that which gives you drivers for your specific PC

The hardware wireless switch is on the right side next to the audio ports. Try moving the switch to different position

Although the default is for the model of laptop to have a wireless option, this does not mean that all of the devices shipped were thus specified. Dell is primarily a supplier of devices to multinationals, small companies Etc in bulk, It is quite possible that a company could specify that a batch of laptops be supplied without wireless connectivity or some other "Standard" feature. I have in the past specified business laptops and these were a version of a standard model, but without an operating system as we were using a seperate Volume Licence.

I would suggest that you follow @samuria s advice about the tag number

If the wireless cannot be found then you could always get a USB WiFi adaptor that will allow you to use WiFi hotspots
