synchronous multiple processing in local network

im hoping to find a way to use my other computers (multiple ones) as slave processors in my home network... and do not say that i have to virtualize something because that is an s****y job to do... =)

it can be done by either software or w7 but first id like to know that is it possible in w7

    Hi and welcome

I think you are looking for the win 7 couterpart to a beowolf cluster. More here Beowulf (computing) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Im not sure but I dont recall if they can or cant run in a win 7 window.

    Good luck on your quest

well... maybe more of a grid than beowulf... ill throw an example...

im doing and compiling a home video to dvd format and it chumps away a BIIG slice of mi computer processor time so that i cant even browse the web... i also happen to have a couple of computers in my home net and if i could use those idling processors to share the computing load i would be a king and would throw away multiple internets as gifts to just surf at the same time....

    catch my drift?

mmkae... after a bit of rummaging in the net i was able to find some more information about this...

it was obvious that in linux enviroment it is possible to use other computers processor as extra processor over ethernet or home network...

now it is up to you guys & gals to tell me that is it possible in win7...

    waiting with massive interest...
