Don't you have to set it up as a proxy?

    I hope this helps!

What I would do is try the local coffee shop, (I'm sure there is one near campus ), if the WiFi works there then it is an issue with the setup at the campus, and I would contact you Campus IT department who should be able to get everything sorted. If the laptop does not work at the Coffee Shop then the issue is with the laptop settings or hardware. Even in this case a visit to the IT staff on Campus, asking for assistance will normally be a painless and useful thing, remember that the IT department are there to help you and to provide students with Internet Access

We could help here but would need a report from an IPconfig / All (open command prompt type the instruction and copy and paste the results here ) but this type of thing is always easier if you have hands on access to the hardware and know the settings required
