    Default port problem in windows

I have reset the port settings on my DVR from port 80 to port 8080
When I log into my DVR with its ip address through my PC it automatically wants to go through port 80 even though it's been changed and I can't log in without adding ":8080" at the end of the ip address.
I've tried eliminating the router but going directly via ethernet. No matter what device I log in with, it seems the default is port 80.

How can I change the the default port settings in windows?

    Thanks for any help

How are you trying to login?
Are you using TeamViewer or something like that?
    Is it for CCTV?

    I hope this helps!

    Hi bbqbrisket,

I did a quick Google search and found these which might be of use:

[1] What are the default ports to open when connecting remotely to my NVR / DVR.
    [2] cctvcameraworld port-forwarding.
    [3] cctvcamerapros.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi bbqbrisket,

Another thought, have you checked your Firewall?
It might be that it isn't allowing port 8080 and you might need to add it as safe!

    I hope this helps!
