Having bad internet troubles.

My issues started about 3 days ago. For some reason, my wifi card would suddenly disconnect from our internet and router and would be unable to find it. (But my phone, Tv, and other things had no issues)

It only did it every once in a while, but it's got increasingly worse very fast. Now, I can't join any online games to play with my friends or I would get disconnected.

I have a windows 7 pc, AMD Cpu, two hard drives installed, 34gbs of ram but only 16 is usable, External Wifi card ( Linksys Wireless-G PCI Adapter WMP54G )

Iv had this computer for nearly three years now and I had internet troubles before but was always able to fix them, but now I'm having issues again.

To give more info on what's going on, I had a trip and came to visit family across the country. I'm currently staying with my mother and using her wifi which is now satellite internet (Unsure which, if its AT&T (ATT is the first letters of the routers name followed by other characters) Or some other brand)


Things iv already tried to do; Uninstalling, reinstalling driver, Managing known networks and deleted all of them, even used Hardline connection (which don't help at all)

Welcome to the forum. What is make and model of the router? As the WiFi card is ancient I would guess that is the problem a g type does about 11 meg newer n type can do up to 300 meg and new AC can do 3 gig. A g type will struggle with speed and encryption you can buy a AC adapter for peanuts now and will be a game changer

I've removed the Wifi card and using a straight landline, still having issues, so I know its not my card at the moment seeing how this issue has only been 3 days old. (Not cutting that out, but I'm sure it's not on the list at the moment.)

The router is a AC type so it can doo up to 3 gigs so there is a massive miss match with your wireless card. What do you mean your using a landline?

Standered cat5 landline cord, eithernet cord.

I removed my wireless card and used the On board connection for a cord so I'm hardwired into the router.

I was hoping to get a response and waited nearly a week but I guess not.

It did stop for a bit but now it started back up again, and now it's only cutting me offline (back to back.) When I open up a game, doesn't matter if it's online or offline.
