PC not Mapping Network Drives, but did before
I have a small home network connecting my Lenovo workstation to my Lenovo laptop (wifi) and to an older PC running OS/2 (ArcaNoae) and Linux Suse (ethernet cable). Last week my ISP upgraded my hardware to a combo modem/router (Hitron CODA-4582).
In the past, I have had this same experience where my W7 PC (64 bit, Pro) would sometimes be slow in the drive mapping and show only one logical drive with a certain directory and sub-directories on my laptop (also running W7 Pro, 64-bit). This annoyance would last for a couple of minutes, or more, then the rest of the drives would appear and work fine. However, as of yesterday, my PC is hung up permanently in this state--none of the other logical drives are visible or mappable.
I've tried various tweeks in the registry settings, etc. from several online sources, but nothing helps. I even tried using the networking "wizard", but that did nothing either, except change my Workgroup name on both machines to "Workgroup", which I reset to original name this morning.
FYI, my laptop maps and sees all the drives on my PC with no problem.
