    Info on link layer topolgy


    Hey all, was wondering if there's any advantage to enabling link layer topology discovery in a 2 pc home network, is it just window dressing for mapping the network?

    You might take a look at this-

    If I understand it correctly, disabling it would stop the graphical display of the local area network.

Browsing the internet I found that Windows has or had a Link Layer Topology Discovery view/function(?). Does this still exist? I am not able to create a similar view. Mine is as per first image. Second image shows LLTD view. As usual I have to ask, what am I missing? Thanks and...
