in CMD, when I type "ping google.com" or "ping www.google.com" I get this:

"Ping reequest could not find host google.com. Please check the name and try again."

But if I ping 74.86.229.157 I get an average of 57ms.

Go to Start > Run, and type services.msc. Scroll down to DNS Client and male sure it's started and set to Automatic.

Well,. lets go out on a limb here,.

    Download CCleaner:
    CCleaner - Download

and do the scan,. do not do the registry section.

Open IE8,. go to Tools > Internet Options,. click the Programs tan and choose manage Add-ons.

    What''s listed here?

I've already ran CCleaner multiple times before making this thread. I have no add-ons installed in IE.
