Hello everyone.
I run windows 7 since the first day of release and i can't figure out how to set up network priorities. I was trying to start a virtual lan in order to use for gaming. Anyway in order to do that i have to set the virtual lan at high priority...
Anyone knows how to do that?

high priority? my first question is why the need for a priority change? Hamachi should run just fine... if you must, go thru task manager.... but it will drag on you more than likely

Go to Control panel. Under "Network and internet" click the "view network status and tasks" now on the left side panel under "Control Panel Home" click "Change adapter settings". You should see Hamachi in this folder. press alt to bring up file menu and under "advanced" click "advanced settings". there u go ... now select hamachi and use the arrow on the right to bring it to the top of the list. Tell me if you get hamachi working ingame. Ive been trying this for a while now and have had no luck. what games are you going to be playing via Hamachi?

I installed hamachi version 1.0.1.5 on Windows 7 RC Build 7100 yesterday and when I tried to connect every time it was error

Hamachi:Failed to connect to mediation server

I spent all day to find solution and try everything from set up network priorities in Control Panel till changing manually proxy server address and DNS addresses in my hamachi and internet connection.

At the end I tried all kind of different solutions which I found on net and nothing again same error happened.

Finally I installed again new copy of hamachi and just made a restart of my PC and after that hamachi logged normally without any problems.

On Win7 RC I did the same and everything is working. Probably Win7 beta caused the errors earlier in my case

Hamachi 1.0.15 fix for Windows 7 beta and Windows 7

First of all it was a pain in the rump jumping through all the hoops to post this fix. But, it is not the gamers fault this forum sucks.. So, that said.. I will now share with you a fix for Hamachi and Windows7. *I have not tested this on any other version of Hamachi. But. one would think the fix would be universal.. I found great improvement while playing games with my friends over the default setting with other operating systems. (Windows XP Pro, and Windows Vista x64 Ultimate)

The process you are about to use is quite a bit like setting priority of programs running in windows. The difference is.. You will be assigning a priority to the Hamachi network adapter. That said.. this is the Hamachi version 1.0.15 fix for Windows 7..

First click on start and navigate to the Control Panel. Next , click on Network and Internet, Network and Sharing Center, and then click on Change Adaper Settings*. (Change Adapter Settings is located at the top left side of your open windows 7 page).
Now for the tricky part.. Ha Ha.. (sarcastic) Right click on the Hamachi network adapter. Notice you see a different screen this time. With the left mouse button click on IP Protocol 4 and select Properties just to the right of the selection box. Now in the area you found the "Properties Tab" in the last step you will see a tab similar but called "Advanced" left click the Advanced Tab now.

If you look all the way to the bottom of the screen you will see Automatic Metric. Untick the Automatic Metric. You will see a box with an integer of 9 is present. Change the 9 to a 1 and click OK. there you go fellas.. Start your Hamachi and enjoy Windows 7
