Windows 7: Network Adaptor not recognised

Hi Paul,
Tried Windows Update but it didn't find any drivers for the mentioned devices. However, I found drivers for the Base System Devices and the SM Bus Controller and they have been installed OK. I'm not really concerned about the PCI Controller since I would only expect this to be required on a 'Desktop' motherboard which has PCI Card slots.....
Can't understand why this appears on a Laptop which doesn't have PCI expansion slots (as far as I know)

Everything working reasonably well now.

Thanks Again

It is included in the installation media. If you think how many different models and specifications a manufacturer produces, it would be a nightmare to have different installation media for each model and specifications specifically for that model and specifications.

If you are happy, then please mark this thread as solved!

I hope this helps!

"AC adaptor currentlly connected is not recognised"
I've been getting this message recently, but my power button shows that the laptop is plugged in. I have no idea why it isn't recognizing it, but when it's plugged in and not recognized, it really cuts down on my laptop's performance. Oh, and it isn't a typo with the two "L"s, it really shows up...

Windows 7 cannot see network adaptor
Hello! I just did a clean install of Windows 7 on a PC that was formerly running XP, and everything seems to have gone smoothly, except for the network adapter. See, the adapter was working properly in XP, and I expected I might have to update the drivers for 7, but the Device Manager does not even...
