Connecting without Ethernet?

My old PC (Dell, Win. 7) was connected to my modem via Ethernet cable for internet services. I've moved the PC to my basement now and cannot reach it with Ethernet cables (too far). Can/how I connect to the modem without the cable?

Does your Router has WiFi?

Depending how far is the computer to the modem / router you can use WiFi or a powerline networking

Thanks for the response Megahertz07!
My router/modem is in my loft, Win 7 is in my basement, but has a clear 'shot' at the router. Also I have a printer right next to my Win 7. I have the printer on 'wireless', and that works fine. So I don't think the distance from Win 7 to the router is a problem. Anymore thoughts?

I would go with WiFi.

How fast is your Internet?

If your desktop doesn't have WiFi, you can buy a WiFi card and give it a try. TL-WN881ND | 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Express Adapter | TP-Link
If you find out that the WiFi signal reaches the computer with a weak signal, install a repeater half the way. TL-WA850RE | 300Mbps Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender | TP-Link

For the printer, better link with a cable.
