How can I remove "Network 3 Internet access" box above taskbar

My computer got restarted yesterday for the first time in ages, and now there's a little white box in the bottom right corner sitting on top of the taskbar above the time and date saying "Network 3 Internet access", it's nothing to do with browsers because it's still there on the desktop display when all browsers are closed. When I look at Google maps it sits right in front of the scale information which is really annoying. Can anyone help please?

    Hello bricklayer,
    Welcome to Seven Forums.

It is most likely a third party program that launches on start up. You can follow STEP 1 of these tutorial instructions Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup , and see if that makes the problem disappear.

If STEP 1 of the tutorial was a success, then try to do STEP 2 to find which start-up program was causing the box to appear.

Otherwise take a picture of the box on the screen, and upload to this forum thread.

Thanks but I actually managed to fix it myself - ridiculously simple, my PC is connected to the router with an ethernet cable so in the taskbar immediately below the offending box there's a little icon showing a monitor with a plug. If I click on that it opens a much larger box, also saying "Network 3 Internet access" and offering a link to open network and sharing centre. When I clicked on the empty screen around that box to close it, it closed and the offending 'extra box' disappeared too.
