    Admittedly a silly question

I tried searching, but found nothing useful. Can anyone recommend a decent forum site where I can post a question about SMTP server/SPF kind of stuff?

Off the top of my head is the forum webhostingtalk.com But it's a website forum more about web hosting and server configuration. But SMTP may fall in line with that especially the SPF record...

I might be able to answer your question though. So shoot.

F22 Simpilot – Thanks for the kind response. The issue this: I have Outlook on my computer, a personal domain, and a third-party SMTP service. The problem is that my emails are typically flagged with ‘SPF alignment failed’ since the domain in the ‘From’ header is different from the domain in the ‘Return-Path’ header. This leads to my question: Is there a low cost SMTP service that I can use that will allow me to adjust some setup parameter so this issue does not occur? Note that on a busy day, I might send all of ten emails.

If the price for the SMTP service you're using now is withen the same price as Protonmail, I'd consider a paid version of Protonmail. There, you can use your domain with them and customize the records so that it passes all e-mail checks. Protonmail has some great guides on how to do it all. I known because I used it and followed their guides and all the records checked out.
