    No connections avalible

I just blew the dust off of my ole HP ProBook 6475b, I installed a new SSD, fresh installation of Windows 7 Profesional SP1, and updates everything in the updater.

Fresh WLAN card driver from HP. I get the " no connections avalible", and I can`t seem to figure it out. Broadcomms software says it`s an error in the control register, I tried multiple different drivers with no luck.

The laptop had Windows 10 Profesional before hand on the original HDD, and the WiFi worked flawlessly. So I`m a bit stuck here...

Any advice would be highly aprpeciated!

    Hi
    bit confused here.....
according to HP device driver info you have a Qualcomm card not Broadcomm
can you check the Details tab for the card and post the pci/ven details

if the driver is for Qualcomm, then check in the W7 Athorus wlan driver store
    (the 2 companies merged)

No connections available can also mean, (allthough the drivers are correct) the Wifi is not actuall turned on, my stupid Acer defaults to Off

I hope the picture is decent.
This is the Wlan card installed in the HP.

I tried pushing the activate wifi but nothing works.

From what I can see, everything seems to be in order! I can`t figure it out why it won`t! It worked great with Windows 10!....

    well thats weird!!!

other things to check, (assuming you used a vanilla ISO and not HP recovery discs)
was there an error code on that Broadcomm report
    what does MS troubleshooter report
does the on/off key also require Fn key to be used, if its a keyboard F? key
    download/run HP diagnostics

    run sfc /scannow

if all else fails try a repair install -- no loss of files folders

    major thoughts
that card is 2.4 and 5G check in the advanced tab making sure its picking up the same frequency that your routers is broadcasting on, and the security code is correct

This is a common problem uninstall all Broadcomm then reinstall It should ask install driver only the software disables window wifi you need to use windows for the wifi not Broadcomm you have to wlan running Just a moment...
