... more Homegroup problems
Is there a tutorial on sorting out Homegroup issues?
I've been reading and toggling and uninstallng and reinstalling, and damn if I can get both my desktop and laptop on the homegroup. For starters, each one sees a different network map. |

The best news about homegroup is you dont have to use it. workgroup uses IPv4 instead of the troublesome IPv6. to change all you have to do is go into netweorking, setup up a new network using the workgroup model, and when it is setup and running, disable ipV6 and kill the old network. Ipv6 had all sorts of random connect issues, slowdons, drops, and password problems Ley us know if y ou need help with it Kenn J++ |

Nor indeed Win7 at all.
But since I have it, I want it to work. Hard to believe MS put a completely non-functional "feature" in their software. Wait, did I just say that? ![]() But seriously; many folks report that it works, so why can't mine? |
