Win 7 REFUSES to allow Networking with my XBOX360 .....

Well more issues after trying to install McAfee, here look.



I guess McAfee isn't compatible with Windows 7 yet? I need an antivirus program now, is my computer safe with just windows defender and firewall?

No, IPv6 does not cause those problems. Also Workgroups is not stuck to using IPv4, it can and does use IPv6. Windows has been using IPv6 back with Windows XP SP2, and became setup by default in Windows Vista. IPv6 does not cause the problems you are seeing.

As to why Windows is doing this registry mistake I have no idea, maybe an upgrade bug or something. I have had zero problems with Homegroup.

Well it seems it was the McAfee anti-virus. I removed it and now all ports and computers work and stream. Now I will REINSTALL IT. McAfee should allow them from now on. I guess my issue was not uninstalling a lot of items BEFORE the 7 upgrade. I will update once again after the reinstall of McAfee.

Your issue was upgrading instead of a clean install

What is a clean install? Like deleting everything then installing ???

P.S. Is McAfee worth using over the windows firewall and Microsoft security Essentials?

Clean installation as opposed to an upgrade installation from XP or Vista.

You have a much better chance of everything working correctly with a clean installation. Looks like you cleaned up your name LOL.

Honestly, the way it's been going with antivirus's and Windows 7, I wouldn't use any of them until they get it right. They appear to be causing more problems than they are preventing for the time being.

You act as if I had a choice in my name being cleaned up, oh well I guess it is for the best. Lots of things are giving me issues. I deleted McAfee that is the end of that. Next up is ITUNES, seems to be giving me issues.

ONCE AGAIN WINDOWS REFUSES TO ALLOW STREAMING VIDEO!!! FOR NO REASON, I DELETED MCAFEE AND IT WORKED AND NOW IT DOESN'T, NO RHYME OR REASON, IT JUST DOES. WHY WOULD IT WORK, USING ALL MICROSOFT PRODUCTS RIGHT? APPLES DOES NOT HAVE THESE ISSUES, I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW HARD THIS IS, YEARS I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES AND IT DOES NOT LET UP!!!!


So why did it stop working this time? Was it the download of windows security essentials? WHY IS THIS SO COMPLICATED!?!?!??!

Now I just deleted windows security essentials and now I am back to square one. No streaming works but Windows Media Center SORTA works, not video, just music.

Why is it so hard? Seriously just poor development all around.

No Rhyme or Reason, it just works one day then just stops. I once again deleted McAfee and yes it worked for a 2nd or two then all of a sudden, no more streaming what so ever. Why in the name of the Holy Lords name is this an issue? Seriously? It fing REFUSES TO WORK PROPERLY, JUST FLAT OUT REFUSE. MICROSOFT COMPUTER, MICROSOFT XBOX 360, IT JUST DECIDES TO WORK AND THEN DOESN'T!?!?!?!?!?!


I am beyond lost on this subject and have no idea what to do, again a severe and ongoing failure on Microsoft's part it just boggles the mind that this is even an issue.
