    yea winrar is awesome for extracting the contents from exe's :P
    Pretty sure you can download a zip archive from their site with the raw files as well.

    There's several peices of information in a couple of other threads, which are leading me towards the conclusion that W7 doesn't auto-configure SVCHOST.exe as a network interface correctly.

    Thus when you installed + Ran the netgear software, you override SVCHOST.exe in some aspects, causing the buggy procedures never to be called.
