windows 7
error 0x0000000d

Maybe a workaround from the past (for older systems) could work.
I found it at:
windows cannot connect to the printer.error 0x0000000d

and the text:
Doron (and anyone else!)
I have a similar setup - Home PC running XP with a Lexmark x7350 connected via USB 2.0 and a new Vista laptop. After reading some of the threads, I did the following:
  1. Disconnected the x7350 from the XP machine.
  2. Uninstalled the printer from the XP machine.
  3. Restarted the XP maxchine.
  4. Installed the VISTA driver for the x7350 straight from the Lexmark website
  5. Connected x7350 to the XP machine via USB. (from Lexmark installation program)
  6. Enabled network sharing. (from Lexmark installation program)
  7. Ran test print (you gotta know if it works!)
  8. Ran add a printer wizard on the Vista laptop
  9. Added printer on Vista Laptop
  10. Ran a test print and test scan on Vista laptop.
  11. Strutted around office and got tennis elbow patting self on back.
Hope that helps.

Printer Connect in Windows 7

Windows printing trouble shooter has never been much use, but the use of local port seems OK as a work-around.

Shouldn't MS be fixing these bugs? - they have been known about for long enough.

Bill Gates would not have tolerated such buggy software.
