That is correct, the auto-install is the one downloaded and installed.

Strange, but at least you got it installed manually.

I installed the 7022 x86 version of Windows 7. Everything installed fine and there were driver issues which I anticipated but my Ethernet port is not working on W7 or any other OS for that matter.

Itís a very strange situation. After it was not seen I W7 I booted from my 2nd drive which has Vista on it and it was not seen there so I booted from my XP drive and it was not seen on there either.....

I have re-downloaded all the drivers for each version of the OS but none are making the NIC discoverable.

I have an nVidia 680i SLi & I am using the on board port.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would love to get into W7 and start using it fully.

Thanks very much.
I have this same 'exact' issue, I thought maybe it was an issue with win7 even after finding drivers it wouldn't work. I have an alienware system so I used my factory reset disk, which was windows xp, it didn't help, it still shows that there's 'no' network adaptor, I then looked on the back of the case where it's plugged in, the lights are off. So, I did what was suggested right below your post, I checked the bio's to make sure that LAN was enabled, only to find that the LAN option isn't even in the bio's anymore, I also have the same MB he does nVidia nforce 680i sli, at this point I'm stumped, I've tried finding a bio's update with zero luck. Any idea's would be greatly appriciated. I'd even consider forgoing fixing the LAN in the bio's issue and buying a new LAN card, but I have no idea which are compatable.

Please help, I'm going crazy over here

I am in the same exact situation with Windows 7 enterprise 32.

Network Adapter does not show in Device Manager.
Lights on back of PC/router show no action.
Nothing in BIOS.

I have attempted to download the nForce BIOS updates from EVGA's website, but for some strange reason it states that my the part number does not match with the one I downloaded. I attempted both the nForce 680i updates (SLI & LT SLI).

Kinda...stuck...

well why do you not try and install from the cd -dvd which came with your
system . also you might run the win7 advisor. not all old stuff is compaitible. you can check with the HCL for win7

Thanks to all for providing a few insights. Win 7 refused to see my ethernet card as well- even though it was pulling an IP address. While I tried a number of things, the ultimate fix was simple enough- delete the drivers completely, which removed the device from Windows. Upon re-install, it recognized it and has been working fine.
