    shutdown vs psshutdown

This is not necessarily Win7 specific but I'm calling the commands from a Win7 computer.

If I try to shutdown my remote computer shutdown works and psshutdown doesn't.

    The command lines are:
    shutdown \\drone <- this works
psshutdown \\drone -s <- with this I get access denied

    Anyone have any ideas?

ps. the reason I want to use psshutdown is because I want to hibernate the remote.

    Thanks

    I little more info.

When I used shutdown with the timeout option (-t) a box pops up on the remotes screen showing the countdown but also says it's been initiated by \\drone\guest.

I don't know what psshutdown defaults to. I've tried setting the login to the remotes login name and password but no luck.

I think I'm going to try to figure this out with a network monitor when I have time. I should be able to see the difference between the two and adjust psshutdown accordingly.
