    Rapidshare.com Premium DL Speed Slow

    Hey guys,

I recently installed a Windows 7 Enterprise x64 on my PC, and now my RS.com DL speed sucks. Before on my Vista it was around 800 KB/s, and now its around 300 KB/s.

Any tweaks for Windows 7 to increase download speed?

    Try disabling IPv6,
Make sure that you using the proper drivers.

Given the fact your running enterprise and using rapid share your copy of 7 isnt legit.
Most torrents and shared copy's of 7 contain spy ware and virus's. Always make sure the Md5 sum matches up to a legit copy.

    • KEEP IT LEGIT.

The fact he is asking about rapid share and the Enterprise key allows multiple activations, hince easier to pirate.

Open your network and sharing center. Click on your Nic card. Then properties. Then un-click the little box that says Internet Protocol Ver 6.

Do you heave a reltek nic card by any chance?

And sorry about the Keep it legit.

Ive seen quite a few people come though using virus ridden versions they recived il-legit. And the seems to normally cause the problems.

Just installed Windows 7 Home Premium. I use rapidshare to request files from clients overseas and I too have this issue. My ISP connection 16mbit and a speakeasy.net speed test confirms that I am receiving that speed. I can download from other sources and get the usual ~2mbps speed but I am maxing out at ~300kpbs when it comes to rapidshare. I have tried disabling IPv6 as suggested above but there is no change. I have tried disabling AVG and Windows Firewall/Defender, with no success. I was hoping for some more suggestions on a fix. Thank you in advance.
