    Some routers actually have a facility to prevent specified LAN IP addresses from accessing the internet - my D-Link router, for example, can do this. Check if you have this option.

    Well, i now need it to access as i now use it for my iTunes streaming.

    Thanks anyway, i got it to work with an assigned IP, and also i use it now to share a printer over the network, so i'm happy now.
