On the left hand side of the laptop, look closely at the rear near the hinge. There should be a little slide switch there which moves forward and backwards. It should have a little wireless symbol on it.

The 1545 doesn't have a hardware radio switch. Did you install the Dell QuickSet utility?

    It's actuallt not Fn + F2.
    But just F2
Dell made Inspiron 1545`s keybord like multimedia (so actaully pressing Fn + F2 presses F2. I know that's stupid but that's it)

    That's true.
It dosen't have any switch in PC itself.

I have a 1545 that I upgraded to 7 and it works great as long as you load *all* the Dell utilities. Especially the QuickSet which I believe enables the function keys. The 1545 has three or four different wireless card options so loading the correct driver is critical. I think the standard radio is the Dell 1397 802.11bg.

I just realized that I had the same laptop back in April 09 but gave it to my brother in June and now i remember I pressed F2 to enable the wireless radio.
Also, i updated my wireless card from 1397 to Intel's 5300 802.11 ABGN Mini Card what a difference...my brother is loving it now.
The poster above is right about installing the most critical Dell utilities.
I was wrong about the side switch, sorry.
Hope the first poster figured it out:)

I admit I went looking for switch when I read your post then realized there wasn't one. Dell went very minimalist with the 1545. So minimalist that there aren't any lights other than power. No caps, num or even drive activity. It takes some getting used to.
