New To Windows 7, Any Compatible Network Adapters?

We have just purchased a new computer with Windows 7 at our office and we were told there weren't any wireless network adapters that were compatible yet for 7. All of the other computers are Windows Vista and they have Ativa Wireless Network Adapters that work fine. It will not work with this new computer. Any suggestions of how to get up and running on the Internet?

    Hi and welcome

If they work with vista you stand a good chence they will with win 7. yo just need to install the driver for them in the compatibility mode and it should work To do that right click the friver>properties>compatibility mode. I think they are just saying none work because they dont hav a win 7 driver ready yet

hi tolma1sa the info zigzag gave you is the best advice you can get about drivers for 7 many, many people will tell you that you cant run this or that device in 7 but follow your own mind and always try compatability mode first

That is simply not true. Every wireless network adapter on this page has been extensively tested and verified 'Compatible with Windows 7' by Microsoft themselves: Windows 7 Compatibility Center hardware browse results - Networking - Wireless Network Cards

I'm sorry your Ativa adapters aren't working though! It looks like their wireless network adapters (all 2 of them) are only supported up through Vista: Welcome To Ativa Support

I'm sure others will be able to offer some insight into this as well. Good luck for now...

    If It Helps

If it helps I believe that adapter uses a ZyDas chipset a lot of times it helps to look for drivers by more than the brand and model number dig a little deeper and you can usually find a driver that will work I believe that these are repackaged Belkins but I would search by the actual chipset itself hope this helps.
