win xp and 7 wireless problem

    Hello!

I have a problem, that occured when I moved my computer with Windows 7 to another room and had to connect via WLAN. The problem is that there are 3 other computers with Windows XP connected to my router via cable and if one of them is turned on I get no Internet access. If i switch to Windows XP the problem vanishes and the access is back.
My router is D-link DIR-615 and I use DWA-140 reciever from D-link that came in the package together with the router.

I also have another router from Netgear: WNR2000, which doesnt do better.

Is there any body with similar problem and maybe a solution or a suggestion about the problem.

    hi rok and welcome

Are you running homegroup on the win 7 machine? homegroup is for win 7 machines only. Mixed networks need to use the "workgroup" model. easy enough to find out make a new network based on work group and when everything is up and running you can diable IPv6 and kill the homegroup

    How this helps

Could be anything. Most likely how the router was setup. I don't have that router model so it's hard to tell.

I would suggest you getting a Linksys brand. Those brand you have now aren't the best.
