No i still have issues... perhaps i should add i had problems with the OS freezing up aswell, only thing to do was hit the reset button. I had this problem at the start but it went away when i started using programs as administrator. But this morning after 2 weeks or so free of that it came back.

If it's of any consolation, that network adapter works fine under Win 7 x86...

Alright, so this is what i did, i installed a new network card and after that there has been 0 disconnects, but i still have issues with the OS 'freezing' up. According to eventviewer this has occured 25 times, so once every other day since i got this computer.

In detail, this is what happens; Usually sound stops, if i'm watching a movie it stops, _sometimes_ music can go on playing, and once or twice, the active program i'm using, or game i'm playing, keep on working for a minute or two.. even managed to keep playing a game for 5 minutes while everything else was not working.

I'm unable to switch programs or close anything down. My cursor changes shape to what you would excpect but it wont do anything. Ctrl+alt+del usually freezes up the computer totally.

I have no clue what's wrong or what to check

Apologies for late arrival - thank you for running the reports back when...

If not done since the reports - you need to update with Vista SP2 -

Prep Work for SP2 --> Tech Support Forum - View Single Post - [SOLVED] Should I Install Windows Vista Service Pack 1 ?

Allow SP2 to come to you if at all possible - check Windows Updates - www.update.microsoft.com

You also have Bittorent running along with a literal ton of other apps - AIM, Skype, Live Msgr, Apple iTunes, iPod, etc. . . - all which run at start-up and phone home very often. Those 5 alone will eat your bandwidth up.

You also have a 2007 version of --> Welcome To UPEK - Solutions - Protector Suite QL

Also Alcohol 120, Daemon and nTunes services running - calling home.

    Regards. . .

was this a pre built computer ?

If yes then it's not surprising to have lots of bloatware installed

go to control panel\Programs and Features then scroll down the list of installed programs and unninstall anything you don't need or want , google them to find out what they do if your unsure

google shows >> Protector Suite QL is fingeprint reader software
