    That feature will differ for everyone, as not everyone has the same network adapter, in this case it's the wireless network adapter. All it is, is these are configurable settings for you wireless network adapter, this tab allow you to manually change it.

    Alright. I just wanted to know if manually changing those settings would have an effect on your internet's performance (for the better). Thanks for your help anyway.

    Yes it would. Eg if you change the Radio On/Off option to Off. Chances are you won't have Radio, which means your wireless adapter won't be able to pick up your wirelss network. In that case, you won't have internet at all.
