Okay it goes like this

Modem -> Router

PC -> Wireless

Xbox -> PC

Via this page: Windows ICS Connection to Xbox 360 & Xbox LIVE Access | Xbox Support

I should be able to share the internet via my pc to the xbox using an ethernet cable, but as i posted ealier it seems my ethernet port won't turn on (code 10).

So let me see if I got this.

Your computer is using Wireless, you want to route the internet through your ethernet port to your 360. Right?

Well first things first, your Ethernet needs to be working. Try looking for drivers for your Ethernet port, maybe your current ones are corrupted.

Yeah DarkNovaGamer i will try and roll back the driver or re-install the current ones, no idea why it wouldn't be working hmm.

Edit > I rolled the driver back and the ethernet port actually shows up now, just gotta figure out how to get it to actually get the net to the xbox now.

The PC and Xbox are in one room and the router is in another I'll bet.

I'm not an xbox guru but will you be wanting the xbox to be able to see the internet for xbox live, etc. ?

Needs to be done like this if it's going to work. Modem>Wireless Router>PC>Wired NIC with ICS enabled>X-box.

Seems like it would be much easier by just using a wireless dongle on the X-box.

The way you show it the PC would need to transmit the wireless which far as I know can't be done without a wireless repeater of some type.

I just tried to enable ICS on my wireless laptop, it seems to work on my laptop with a wireless connection.

The PC would also need to be turned on for the X-box connection to work when using ICS.

To enable ICS just go where it shows in the picture.

Now that your ethernet port is recognized, you just need to enable wireless ICS (probably need to access your router's admin settings) to get the 'Sharing' tab to appear in your wireless network's Properties. Once that's done, attach the Xbox to your PC via ethernet and follow these instructions to test the connection.

Instead of ICS he may be better off with just bridging the wireless and ethernet in the PC. That way the IP addressing will come from the router and not from ICS. It's a straight through connection. The PC acts as a passthrough.

chev65 has a good idea as well: wireless on the xbox.

Yep, I think the Op is just trying to save a few bucks on the wireless dongle for the X-box LOL.

I'm just a little concerned about running the xbox over ICS, then through another router. That's two routed connections. I don't know how that will affect things like xbox live.

One thing I've noticed about ICS is in the past it's been slow in getting the initial connection going. Sometimes it didn't get the addressing right to the client machines.

By doing bridged, we eliminate the middle man so to speak.
