Respectfully, for your consideration. A new computer, think you should take it back for an exchange?

Guys, from the error of no gateway available, it doesn't seem to be an issue realating to devices, rather a connection/setup issue. If your modem and router are set to auto config - DHCP, then everything you need to connect to the internet via your ISP is provided. Where you might still run into issues is if the adapter is runned by a third party software. This too is relating to setup/config.

Anyway, from the ipconifg, the default gateway, is the 1.1 which theoretically should be correct as it normally is the first IP of your network. There is something about the settings in tcp/ipv4 or ipv6 that is troubling.

Windows 7

I would say it's an issue with the Realtek drivers...I have an EVGA mobo that uses a Realtek chipset for ether/sound. Windows 7 poped up about 2months with an update alert (Defender) there was also an optional, which was Realtek ethernet drivers. Since then I've had random disconnects with the "default gateway cannot be found", Troubleshooting repairs this and it works fine....sometimes days; or at the time of this post 15min. If it happens again I think I'll uninstall the Realtek-specific drivers and just run with the generic drivers that shipped with the Win7 OS.

BTW: Realtek has had optional updates now 4 other times...2 of which were issued a mere week apart; me thinks Realtek is to blame for this.
