Looks like we can declare that this machine doesn't or hasn't come with BT device.

One other was is to run the hwinfo tool attached.

Download and unzip to C:\

Go to command promp and type this. For easier tracking go to root C:\

Type cd \ and hit enter.

Type Cd hwinf535

The type hwinfo -ar > hwinfo.txt
ie C:\hwinf535> hwinfo.exe -ar > hwinfo.txt

Go into the .txt which you have piped. Search for "Bluetooth" or "BT"

That said it may not show up if the device is disabled in BIOS lol.

I have searched the BIOS I can't seem to locate it, is there any place I should look in particular in BIOS, or should I just conclude there is no hardware?

I don't recall buying any optional BT products but the thing that has puizzled me is the BT icon and the right click option to bluetooth

Well if he had asked for the optional device, paid for it, and the shops didn't give it, then it's an illegal act on the shop's behalf.
