In that case either reset your modem or call your ISP. If you have no access then it's not a Windows 7 problem.
done both those things, and i mean that it wont pick up anything, like, i know next door have a wireless access point, cos it shows up on other wireless things, but mine wont pick up a thing, like ive said
It not picking up no signals cos the adapter is dead/OFF, or the machine has disabled it. That red X is a show stopper. I don't know if thereis a hotkey utility or driver that could activate it. Check the manufacturer's website.
see if you can get your hands on a non Ralink chipset wireless adapter
think i may just give up, return the adapter and get a powerline adapter, seems like alot less hassle for my system and possibley a better connection, ive come to my last tether with trying to get it to work wirelessly, sick of it now. but to everyone that posted in this thread, thanks infinitley for all your help/suggestions, i guess this is just something i'll have to live with
good luck hope you get it worked out
are you using 32 or 64 bit windows also what motherboard?
