    i would, but, like ive said before, its not just that, its picking up no signal from anywhere, not just the homehub

    In that case either reset your modem or call your ISP. If you have no access then it's not a Windows 7 problem.

    done both those things, and i mean that it wont pick up anything, like, i know next door have a wireless access point, cos it shows up on other wireless things, but mine wont pick up a thing, like ive said

    It not picking up no signals cos the adapter is dead/OFF, or the machine has disabled it. That red X is a show stopper. I don't know if thereis a hotkey utility or driver that could activate it. Check the manufacturer's website.

    see if you can get your hands on a non Ralink chipset wireless adapter

    think i may just give up, return the adapter and get a powerline adapter, seems like alot less hassle for my system and possibley a better connection, ive come to my last tether with trying to get it to work wirelessly, sick of it now. but to everyone that posted in this thread, thanks infinitley for all your help/suggestions, i guess this is just something i'll have to live with

    Can you go into your router and take a photo snap of the Wireless funtions (regular) and then go into your AdvanceWireless functions of the router. I need to see how yours is set please
