Win 7: Unidentified Network - No Internet Access
Hi All,
I have a custom-built new PC running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits, and was running great until today for no obvious reason I got this "Unidentified Network" and "No Internet Connection" error. My PC is connected to D-Link switch, which is then connected to the Trendnet router which has the internet connection. I Google and tried several things to fix the issue that seems related to my Intel 82567LM-2 network adapter:
- Disable IP V6
- Uninstall driver, restart to re-install
- Install latest driver from Intel
- Disable Bonjour and remove QuickTime (just to make sure)
- Add some registry value based on similar Vista problem Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or from certain non-Microsoft DHCP servers
- connect PC directly to router
- Bang my head on the desk
Nothing worked. Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
