Welcome to the Se7en Forums zink

Perhaps an old Vista trick will work for you. As a compatibility option, try running it as administrator. Programs on Vista needed the extra nudge to work, could be the same with Windows 7.

Let us know if that worked for you.

Did you do an upgrade install of Windows 7 or a clean install?

If you did an upgrade install, this could be causing the program error. If that's the case, I would back up all important data, then do a clean install (formatting the destination drive) with Windows 7, then re-install your applications.

Since Windows 7 is still a beta, there is likely to be unexplained operation of programs.

    Thanks Grim!

Not having limewire myself, I didn't know about needing plug ins for it to work. Learning something new everyday

Hi, I have the same problem. Downloaded the latest version of LimeWire. Blue screen, my laptop restarted itself. Then I read ur posts and installed the other version... 4.18.8 Same problem, blue screen, reboot.
Dont get it, im not really a computer-know-all, so if someone can explain me what to do in understandable language i would REALLY apreciate it!
My husband doesnt bother looking at it =(

Try utorrent if all else fails. It does the same job but only better imo.

Sorry I can't offer any other solutions as I don't like using the java app that comes with it.
