Connected to Wireless Network, But No Internet Access

    Upgrading has all sorts of problems associated with it. Now we can safely add networking problems to the list. In your case with the upgrade from Vista the problem was most likely that winsock needed to be reset. I've helped fix that problem quite a few times. In your case running the batch file below would have most likely fixed this problem.

    Try running this batch file which will reset winsock, reset the TCP/IP stack and release renew your IP.



    You never mentioned that you upgraded or the problem would have been approached differently as we are all aware of the many problems associated with upgrade installations. Glad you fixed the problem and reported back in. :)

    Idk whats the problem of my wireless connection...connected but no network access and theres a yellow triangle exclamatory when i point to the small icon network.....pls. give some advice

    Supermatteo, You have the tunnel adaptor problem which is usually caused by using an incorrect network driver.

    You should run this tunnel adaptor remover first. Too many of these indicates a driver problem and it will also ruin your connection if there are too many of those tunnel adaptors. This problem happens all the time. Click and save the zip file, then run the zip file and reboot.

    You should look around for an updated version of your network driver if you want the problem to not come back. You will need to right click this file and Run As Admin.

    I had similar issue, other comps are connecting to the router but my PC wasnt, totally got stuck and flustered, FINALLY ran this file, didnt know how to run as an adminitrator, went to command prompt, hit ctrl+shift+enter, then ran each command individually, WORKED !! So happy and relieved, created this account to thank Chev !! Thank YOu :)

    No problem and thanks for reporting back in. I have an updated version of that file that is made for Windows 7 but I'm glad you got the old one to work by running as Admin. :)

    I'll post the newer .exe version of this file, just unzip and click on the file, let it run, your machine will reboot automatically.
