Teddals,
I was in the same situation and spent couple days to fix but gave up. Mine is MG-350HD. Would you please post how you set share folder/drive in virtual xp mode that mediagate can see the share drive? I tried these solutions from mediagate but failed.

Hi Phidang,
Start VirtualXP in Windows7.
If you followed my posts you would see that I created a share Folder in VirtualXP & put my media files in there. Make sure you have set it to share in VirtualXP.
Select Start-Settings-Network Connections-Local Area Connection Properties.
Make sure that the 'connect using' option is your 'Real' Network controller' displayed
in the window & not configered to the virtual contoller.
I then went into Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties & made sure that the 'obtain an IP address automatically' was selected & 'obtain DNS servere address automatically' was selected.
These are the identical network settings I have on my Windows XPx64-Bit O/S.
I assume you have set the IP address on your Mediagate as per the manual instructions. (Mine is 10.1.1.010).
My router IP address is 10.1.1.1 & my PC IP address is 10.1.1.3
If everything is setup correctly you will see when you start your Mediagate in the network mode, 2 IP address names on the TV screen.
The top one is whatever you named your computer, mine in MASTER.
The one below will be whatever you named your PC in VirtualXP, I called mine simply PC.
When you select your VirtualXP named PC, your shared folder should come up & the media files in it.
Just remember you will need plenty of hard drive space as the files you are copying over into VirtualXP are in fact being double copied onto your Win7 hard drive that is why I've reverted back to WinXP to view my media files when networking Mediagate as this O/S allows the files to be viewed from my media hard drives.

Cheers

Any thought? Thanks again.

It seems a long winded way of getting access if you have to go to that stage to use it.
Personally I prefer the WinXP O/S for my mediagate & use Win7 for other programs.
It only takes me a couple of minutes using Acronis disk directory to change operating Systems.

Cheers.
