Have you turn on File and Printer sharing on W7?

Can the W7 ping the mediagate?

No problems with file & printer sharing.
    Win7 cannot ping the medigate.
You need to get W7 talking to the medigate. When the medigate hook up to the router, is it getting IPs or do u give it manual ip?

You need to setup the IP in the software that comes with medigate. Is there nothing in the software utility that allow you to put in IP details?

    I set the IPs manually.
The Mediagate already has a static IP address of 10.1.1.010
What I need is for Win7 to pull an IP address from my Real network card.

You need to change that static ip to an ip that your W7 can recognise. What is your current W7 Ipconfig details?

    Hi Teddals,

Can you make a photo out of the interface where you access share over on mediagate? To be safe, you need to set Username/Password on your Windows 7, and access shares by providing credentials. That's the least painful way...

In windows your IPS will be:

    10.1.1.11 for your computer okay
    subnet: 255.255.255.0

if you follow the screen shots and go in there, it will tell you the gateway... please write that down
and also write down the DNS as well.

If you can get into your router... your gateway is the routers address: 10.1.1.1 something like that

then you will want to go into your status page and check for your WAN... you will have DNS numbers...copy those down and that isw here you will put in the DNS for the static ip

if all else fails and you can't get back on the internt, revert everything back to obtain ips automatically... okay.

    update====

    i checked your ipconfig...

    your gateway is: 10.1.1.1
    dns: 10.1.1.1

so this will be the informatin you put in:

    IP: 10.1.1.11
    Subnet: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway: 10.1.1.1

    DNS: 10.1.1.1
