Here is something of interest. Have you seen it?
http://www.mediagateusa.com/assets/d...ser_Manual.pdf
If this is your pc's ip details, then you need to somehow get the medigate to also include this subnet mask and default gateway.IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 10.1.1.3
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 10.1.1.1
Lets disable tcp/ip v6 for the time being okay.

Since you are using XP, i found the page that you shuld take a look at:
Search down to Page 25 and follow the windows xp sharing procedure.
For info Router Settings:
LAN IP 10.1.1.1
DHCP Enabled
IP Address Pool: Start 10.1.1.2
End 10.1.1.254
As I have already mentioned, I have setup the file sharing & IP protocols inWin7 as I had in WinXP as per
page 25 of the manual.
All the settings on the Mediagate have not been altered from what I had when onWinXP.
The confusion I'm having is in the Home Network setup of Win7 where I have set all my hard drives to share
as I had in WinXP.

Well I was hoping you would ping the device to see if there were any errors.. if there were, they may be a problem with firewall or something like that.
Did you check the firewall to make sure that the ports were enabled for file and printer sharing
Turn of the password protect, and turn on the guest account.
also make sure that it is set to the 40 bit securty and not the 128
