    D-Link DGL-4500 and DWA-160

Hi guys, just a little simple question to confirm my thoughts.

If I buy a DGL-4500 Xtreme N Dual Band Gaming Router and a notebook usb adapter (DWA-160) I will be good to go? Or I need a Wireless Card like the DWA-652?

Yes I have a built-in Wireless card on my notebook, but is 802.11g only not N, does the DWA-160 will make my computer run the N wireless mode?

Sorry there are two questions here

Anyway, I'm pretty advanced with network stuffs but, I'm noob at this one hehe!
    Thanks

(No I don't want the DIR-855, no money!)

The D-link DGL-4500 has been tested for compatiblity with Windows 7 so it should work fine for you.

The D-link DWA-652 doesn't show up as tested with Win 7 but can run wireless N. Test to find out if it works or not but it hasn't been officially tested to work with Win 7 yet.

Your D-link DWA-160 is capible of running Wireless N but the problem is that it hasn't been tested for compatibility with Windows 7. So there is a good chance that it may not work correctly for you. Test it and find out if it works or not. If it's not working you know the reason why.

Thanks man! So there is any report about compatibility (DWA-160) if it works or not? S**it!
I really need this man! So just confirm for me please, if I plug the DWA-160 into my USB port and set de DGL, my computer will run all the features that the router provides? Like the better range and speed?

But think, on D-Link page (here) on the tab "Works With", appears Windows 7 and the DWA-160, so should work right?

The router is good to go for certain but those adaptors could be hit or miss. They are untested with Win 7 so you are the one testing them. If they don't connect get one that is compatible with Win 7 and it will work. If they do connect everything will most likely work correctly.
