I see the Wii has built in wireless. It's not 802.11n but it should still work, just not as fast. You may not even notice it.

The router location should be ok. Try to place it about 6 feet up. Like a small shelf or something up on the wall. I doubt you'll need the AP at this point. Don't spend the money if you don't need to.

Good Luck! I'll be away for a few hours, back later tonight.

I think 6 pages of discussion is enough for now. Time to implement and test. Like RBD said, use what you got and don't spend on things that are unesseary.

    Sorry for all the trouble
But you can't say that. Sorry.

So this is what I will do:

Buying: I will buy the DIR-855 and the DWA-160 adapters also CAT5e cables or CAT6, depending of the price. :)

Implementing (router and modem): I will put the DIR-855 at the PS3 room with the DSL-500B (exactly where show the last photo). :)

Implementing (cables): Then I will implement the cables at the first, second, third and last room, also I will put cable at the PS3/Wii room and also at the office and hall. :)

More: I will run a cable at the PS3, Wii will be wireless. :)

That is all I can think about right now. What do you think? Nice right?
    Thaank you guys again.

I'm not saying to halt all your plannings. You realised that what's "on paper" or in theory doesn't always equate to it working in practice? This is why you should start doing things in practice now, even if it means to connect the router and modem and testing that. You won't know what will work or what will not untill you test your plans.

You are right, sorry. But do you THINK it's gonna works great, if I do what i just say at the last post?

Like, I just described my plan and you didn't say anything, what do you think?

Please, just answer what do you think about the router location and everything else, then I will put in practice when the time comes.

    Templai out!

Position of the router there is very good as you would want your wireless network to be broadcasted with as little hinderance as possible. Obviously near the door is better than in a corner of the room even if the difference would be minimal.

As for cables, Cat 5e works.

Not sure why you need another AP, a wireless router has AP feature built in if you buy the right one. If your house is that big that you maight need another router, then it could be considered BUT have you TRY using just the one router (walk around the house with your laptop and see if you can connect)?

That is what I want to hear. You finely answered my question, thank you. And yes, I will only gonna buy the AP if needed. (I will buy the access point only if the signal is bad.)

Also, I will place the router more to the middle at the shelf, so the router will be at the center like you say. Right?
    Thank you!
